HLG Vets v Dorset @ Highcliffe, Thursday 7th July 2022

What a glorious day in Dorset we had. The weather was wonderful and we were made most welcome by the Lady Captain at Highcliffe GC and the Dorset Vets team. Despite a few challenges with team availability on both sides, we eventually made it. Unfortunately, the chef at Highcliffe succumbed to Covid just two days before the match so our carefully chosen food choices were replaced with a cold finger buffet – a reminder that COVID 19 is still very much part of everyday life. Thankfully the golf was good, on a very dry, very short, but tight course. I am therefore delighted to announce that Hampshire won by 5½ to 1½ � Thank you to my team who clearly had some very good games – well done!
