Great fun was had at Corhampton Golf Club’s 125th Anniversary Ladies Captain’s Day on what could be the only gloriously sunny day in June!
Sixty members and twenty-four guests from their friendly match clubs, dressed in the theme of ‘125 years of swimming and sport,’ ( because their Ladies’ Captain is a PE and swiming teacher) joined together in teams of four for a ‘shotgun’ Bowmaker competition.
Ladies’ Captain Gill Cooper, dressed for golf in 1891 style, had a wonderful time walking the course to support the teams as they played. The day ended with a superb Victorian style afternoon tea with lots of chatter and laughter amongst new friends in the clubhouse before the prize-giving. It certainly was a day to remember!
