International Island Games

The IWLGA selection panel is delighted to announce the players who will represent the Isle of Wight at the International Island Games in Guernsey 2021, they are from left to right:  Sophie Beardsall, Lucy Burke, Sammi Keen and Dawn Hodge (Reserve: Bev Whorwood). The players selected are the same team that won the team silver, and individual bronze in Gotland in 2017.

Guernsey will be the host venue for the Natwest Island Games in 2021, the third time they have hosted the event (1987 and 2003 with Jersey hosting in 2015/1997 and IOW 2011/1993).

Golf will return to the games after being omitted from the 2019 games in Gibraltar.  There will be 24 islands taking part from all over the world in 18 different sports and the event will run from 3rd – 9th July next year. We are looking forward to seeing who they may be up against from Jersey and Guernsey!
