2nd Team 

There are opportunities for players in the Handicap Index range from 2 to 7 to represent the HLG 2nd Team. The 2nd Team takes part in the highly competitive  Stovold Trophy, an inter county, scratch competiiton as well as some inter county scratch friendly matches.

The  Stovold Trophy comprises of 5 counties -: Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Surrey and Sussex. The team comprises six selected players and in the morning they play three foursomes 18 hole scratch matches followed after lunch by six singles scratch matches.

Our annual friendly matches in 2025 will be against Berkshire, Dorset, Jersey and the Isle of Wight and these comprise of 8 players who play 4BBB.

The 2nd Team is captained by Vice Captain , Noan Nicol. She would be delighted to hear from any female player in Hampshire with a a HI of 7 and below whois interested and keen to represent Hamphsire. 

There is always a great team spirit in the 2nd Team and the variety of fixtures provides a full day of competitive, but hugely enjoyable match play golf for the single figure golfers. This opportunity also provides a valuable stepping stone for 1st Team selection
