Seniors Championship

A warm welcome was issued to all 122 women who came to Cams Hall on Tuesday 23rd of July to play in the Seniors Championships. The weather provided everything but the conditions on the course were oddly benign which resulted in some absolutely consistently stunning scores. 

Seniors Captain Julie Cole was delighted with the entry field and also hugely appreciative of all the support that the women's section at Cams Hall provided. The meet and greeters, the ball spotters, the starters - just an outstanding turn out of support from Cams Hall.  Such a big field of players can often be difficult to marshal but the team of intrepid HLG Referees made sure that the pace of play was maintained and all issues were efficiently resolved.

Division 1 - Group B

2nd Nett with 67 Sarah Gilroy from Cams Hall, 1st Nett with 66 Olwen Barton from Weybrookk Park.

2nd Gross with 85 Helen Whittaker from Westridge, 1st Gross with 85 (OCB) Pauline Last Cams Hall

Division 1 - Group A

2nd Nett with 68 Sian Roberts from Cams Hall, 1st Nett with 85 (OCB) Julie Newbold Stoneham

2nd Gross with 79 Fiona Horrocks from North Hants, 1st Gross with 79 (OCB) Beverly Whorwood  Shanklin 

And the overall Nett Seniors Champion for 2024 with a stunning 64  Sara Barnes from Romsey

And the overall Gross Seniors Champion for 2024 with 79 Sue Gale from Weybrook Park.

Division 2 

4th place with 41 points from Ryde, Jo Rowley

3rd place with 42 points from RWGC Cookie Bridgeman

2nd place with 43 points from Westridge Vivienne Tomilson 

And the winner of the Division 2 Seniors with a brilliant 46 points Jane O'Hara from South Winchester.
