Hull Shield 2024
Thirty Hampshire clubs entered pairs into the Hull Shield aggregate medal competition yesterday in the north of the County. Hartley Wintney GC always give HLG a hartley, oops a hearty welcome and provide a wonderful spread of food to the hungry golfers who battled against very strong winds and lashing rain at times. The course has many hazards and is tricky to play in the best of weather so a huge congratulations to everyone who participated and returned a score card. Having said that there were some very good scores as can be seen by the list of winners below. As always whatever the weather HLG are indebted to the excellent band of merry referees who brave the elements and make sure that pace of play is adhered to and assistance is given for any rules issues
- In 4th place from Hockley GC with a nett score 149,Debbie Emery and Claire Sly
- In 3rd place form Blackmoor GC with a nett score of 148 , Anne Morris and Tracey Willmont -Coles
- In 2nd place from Wellow GC with a nett score and on count back 147, Rachel Hanbury and Sharon Culliname
- And this year's winners with 147 from The Army GC , Ursula Winterbourne and Alex Turton.
